Even in science....damn

So now we find that the NIH discriminates against Black scientists in the awarding of grant money.  Not Hispanic and Black, not Native American, Hispanic and Black, just Black scientists.  And this isn't some study of past injustice, this is in the present day.  I can't help but see the irony in the fact that on the day the MLK monument is unveiled, on the day that the first Black president is being crucified for taking a vacation (one third of the total of the man who he got the job from), on the day that a Black woman's accusation of rape is swept aside by a tidal wave of power and money, on this day we find out that even in the color blind world of science, in the dispassionate world of pure research, if you are Black, stay back, or get a white scientist to front your research project, that way you get the grant money.  And I'm supposed to believe that because a Huxtable, and barely a Huxtable, is in the White House that racism is dead?  We are now in the post racial America and all those old arguments have been killed once and for all....really?  Too bad we can't study this social construct using science, well I should say we being Black folk can't study this.
